One of the more common and problematic issues owners experience with their dogs are the issues of fear and stress. How a dog reacts to strangers, other animals and the approaching storm can often cause as much stress for the owner attempting to resolve this issue as the dog experiencing this ongoing problem. While many attempt to counter this problem using all sorts of intervention tools including thundershirts, music, candles, medication etc nothing seems to offer long term results or hope that this issue can be fixed. To understand dogs as the relational beings that they are is to know that this issue certainly isn't hopeless when you begin to approach this issue with an open mind and new eyes. When you begin to consider the thinking involved by those experiencing this issue and the thinking being offered up as a solution to fix this problem the question to ask "What has really changed ?" If a different way of thinking is required how can you expect to change the problem if you are following the same relational script ? When you begin to step back and look at the psychology involved with those who experience this issue you will begin to see a common pattern via how are thinking and connecting with their dogs. Those who experience these issues tend to seek out solutions which align with this same way of thinking. What I show is that meeting a dog's leadership needs is key when it comes to resolving this problematic issue. As a dog begins to gain a pawhold on the lead role stress and anxiety begin to take hold as well. If you are seeking answers to this issue I would encourage you to think about the role your thinking plays in resolving this problem. I have many free videos available on my site at www.k9pack.com which can help get you on the right path to resolving this issue.
